A Hauz Khas Market street after Friday prayers

After friday prayers

Every Friday, hundreds of people — mostly young men — would descend on the ancient mosque near our flat to pray. When they were done, they would all walk east and disappear. This picture was taken from our roof.

(The back story: This photo is one of many taken by Dave Prager or his wife, Jenny, when they lived in Delhi. Dave’s book, Delirious Delhi, was published by Arcade Publishing with 16 pages of pictures — which, according to some, was not enough. So this website will publish a new one every day or two. For notifications of new photos, follow us on Twitter.)
